I was going through my wish-list on amazon and saw that the Angel of Serenity has dropped below $2. When did that happen. I thought it was a $20 or $30 card at one point.

She was great in standard. But not so much in other formats. She started dropping prior to rotation.

She sees no play in any other format except EDH, and even then not for competitive EDH.

Also she's been dropping since she first come out. Check it out here

Angel of serenity was bad when Unburial Rites rotated out of standard.

Why isn't she good for competitive EDH? She can exile your opponent's creatures, and if you've got a way of blinking her, you can regrow creatures from your graveyard. Is her CMC too high for what she does?

@phc She costs 7. You can get better value off of a Swords to Plowshares, plus if she is removed then they can replay their bombs and get even more ETB triggers.

Typically the best way to look at cards for competitive that have 6+ mana costs is whether they win the game (like Tooth and Nail), give you overwhelming advantage (Consecrated Sphinx gives you lots of card advantage), or shuts down an opponent (like All Is Dust when you are running an artifact deck)
