Went to my first FNM since Worldwake with this deck. Wasn't sure what to expect from the standard scene, but went 2-2 overall.
First match, I went 0-2 vs green devotion/heroic. Lost the first game as I wasn't paying attention to how my opponent could use his Bow of Nylea , and lost the second due to lack of mana.
Second match went 2-0 vs a u/b mill deck. Had to hold back on using Whispering Madness , as I ended the game with only 7 cards in my library.
Third game, I went 1-2 vs u/r burn. I think a better build of this deck would have put me 0-2. The third game was a complete mess because of my mana situation, and I got nowhere at all.
My final game was against R/B control with Desecration Demon s, Thoughtseize and Duress . My third match, again, was a complete screw due to land issues.

Overall, I feel that most of my losses came from opportunities to build better, and not that I was outclassed by my opponent's decks.
TL;DR: The two things I noticed were this: I need to ensure I can hit my first 4 land drops, and I'd like a good instant-speed outlet for the black mana generated by Waste Not during my combat step.

There is no such thing as being "Land screwed." Don't ever convince yourself of that illusion, its a lie and will make you a much worse player.

If you ever find yourself in a bad situation with mana, you either A. Have an unhealthy mana curve and your lands aren't effective enough, B. You need to improve your mulliganing skills, or C. You aren't shuffling your deck correctly(go watch and see how a pro shuffles their cards).
