Maybeboard

When I saw Raffine, Scheming Seer, she definitely held my interest for most (if not all) of the preview season. Being a control player nowadays, I wanted to make something of it, but her ability doesn't really seem too control-like for me, rather more of a tempo vibe.

So here I've designed a Tempo deck featuring the new Connive mechanic from Streets of New Capenna, hoping to make some use out of it.

Strategy

Truly, we are looking to gain any advantage where we can, whether that be mana, cards in hand, or on the board. We really care about our mana curve, so I've tried to fill it out with a mix of Connive, Protection, and Disruption.

We want cheaper creatures to play before we can get Raffine out. The only somewhat viable one drop was Usher of the Fallen due to their nice stats and good boast ability. Hopeful Initiate was a close second and I believe can still be slotted in somewhere in this deck.

Ledger Shredder and Faerie Vandal seemed like really good two drops to slot in. Shredder fuels our Vandal whenever either player casts their second spell, while in the meantime allowing us to draw the cards we need. I'm still unsure of Ledger Shredder due to the fact that we probably won't be casting two spells per turn in the early game where it matters most. If it doesn't work out, then Luminarch Aspirant will do nicely instead.

Suspicious Stowaway   is a fine addition due to it being unblockable and drawing/discarding whenever it hits an opponent. A shame it doesn't have connive.

Now as for our three drops, we have Raffine, Scheming Seer being our centerpiece. She can buff our attacking creatures while digging for any cards we might need.

Guardian of Faith can protect our creatures from either spot removal or a board wipe should we need it.

Brutal Cathar   presents some nice exile removal while also being aggressive.

Obscura Interceptor can bounce back any spell we don't want the opponent casting while also conniving. Flash and Lifelink are nice additions as well.

That's it for our creatures. As for our noncreature spells, we have a few select choices.

Kaito Shizuki is a nice three drop that provides an unblockable attacker and draws after we attack (something we'll do often).

Slip Out the Back and March of Swirling Mist provide us great protection to our creatures in the event of peril.

Spell Pierce is a simple counterspell that can be useful in the mid-game and something we desire.

Fading Hope can bounce either our creatures if we really need to or bounce a scary threat on the other side of the board.

Obscura Charm is a very nice top end due to its modal abilities. Couunter spell, reanimate, and spot removal all in one package is something that we desperately crave, so it's earned its spot.

And that's it. Currently I am playing another Dimir control deck that splashes white so I'm more familiar with the control aspect of Tempo and not the aggro side of things. Any help would be appreciated!!!
