So how exactly is the turn three kill performed by this deck? With a normal hand I can see maybe getting them down to about 8 life by turn 3, and having upside with stuff like Battlewise Hoplite and Ordeal of Thassa, but how does it actually perform a turn 3 kill?

Also the Cloudshift seems counter-productive as it gives the creature a +1/+1 counter by triggering Heroic but immediately removes it by flickering it. I know it's good against removal, but you have stuff which gives protection from certain colours and you could probably just include something like Brave the Elements instead to dodge the removal, which doesn't remove any counters (doesn't give a counter either but that should be fine) and can protect multiple creatures at once for the same cost.

I'll add the turn three kill in the description.

As for Cloudshift, I'm pretty sure that it does not remove the counters. I use it to avoid board-wipes that are not effected by my "protection from X colour" (hence why Brave the Elements would not help). If Cloudshift does remove the counters, then I'll have to come up with a new solution.

M0N5T3RW0LF as it turns out you are right, it takes four turns not three; my mistake. I've added a Goldfish hand in the description.

After some research, it turns out you are also correct about Cloudshift! Thank you for pointing it out; without it I likely would have looked even dumber when I tried to play this trick, and lost all of my buffs, in a real game.

The only possible solution like blinking would be using Time and Tide and Cloak of Invisibility to forcibly phase my creature. Needless to say, this is not a good solution, due to mana costs and the fact that I would be lacking a creature every second turn.

Instead, I think I'll put in 4 copies of Ajani's Presence to give my creature(s) indestructability. It could also be used to buff them and attack if need be.

Again, thank you for your input and advice M0N5T3RW0LF.

The Ajani's Presence seems like a good fix, and it triggers Heroic, which is always a bonus. This deck seems really cool and features one of my favourite Theros cards in Battlewise Hoplite, best of luck in any games you play this in and I might just play it myself if I get the chance. Also, you might want to main-deck a couple of Ethereal Armors because first strike is a big deal against blockers in case you don't find an Aqueous Form and the enchantment's still strong if you do, especially if you're ever on the defensive. Always happy to contribute by the way :)

I want to make this deck SOO bad, but tell me first: Is this competitive?

Depends on the local meta. I have won most of the games I've played, but playing against say a good combo deck I could see this deck having difficulties. That being said, there are always adjustments you can make to make it more competitive against the decks you play against. An example: you could add some counter spells to try having the option of disrupting your opponent while still being able to protect your own creatures.

All of that aside, it's a deck I enjoy playing, and I'm glad you like it!

This is a great deck! I like it when people try to push new ideas towards competitive. Usually, this involves taking on a strategy that is less consistent and more vulnerable but offers a greater reward when it works, and this is precisely what you're doing here. +1
