what is the point of Hermit Druid without the other combo pieces? is there another way to win with it or should I swap in another card for it. also without it, would it be a good idea to run some basic lands in order to resist Blood Moon players?

Mill -> Dread Return Angel of Glory's Rise, which returns Lab Maniac, Hapless Researcher, and Grand Abolisher. Sac Hapless on an empty library to win.

Doesn’t this affect the Druid line? Without Fatestitcher, you’ll only have 2 creatures (HD and Narcomoeba) in play. 1 creature short of payung Dread Return’s flashback cost.

Thrasios only costs 2 mana and the deck has a really high density of cheap creatures, so not having Fatestitcher hasn't been a problem at all, especially considering that I don't really go for super-fast wins anymore.

I'm not seeing the full combo with Angel of Glory's rise, how does the hapless researcher come back?

To clarify, isn't it just a Wizard and not a human for the ETB from angel

@ WisdomComes Hapless Researcher has been errated for a while to include the subtype human. Many creatures from that era have been as multiple subtypes didn't become a thing until much later in MTG's existence.

LabManiac being weak to fewer types of hate, a stronger backup combo, and being able to cut Cabal Therapy.
