I am in no way an expert, but if you are to run a Zur the Enchanter, wouldn't it be better to run more than 4 enchantments? And I know I don't know everything so I am here asking that I wish to understand.

Eiti3 Technically, my friend, Zur is here mostly for his colors but he is a third-fourth option at the most if something goes wrong. There are other Esper Generals that you could use but from what I understand they do not give me any more advantage than Zur, and he gives me an alternate win-con. This deck is pure combo, the game should be over long before I ever cast Zur.

GigaByte_Ghost Slay them all, let them come, let them come. Warriors prepare for a meat sandwich!!

Commanders that would provide the colors + more value:
- Ertai, the Corrupted
- Lady Evangela
- Merieke Ri Berit
- Oloro, Ageless Ascetic (my favorite, since he gives you life without doing anything)
- Sen Triplets

All of these help you survive longer so you can control the game and combo off. Zur does nearly nothing for you tbh.

EpicFreddi While most of those are good commanders, Zur is there for two main reason's one is to make you worry about him after all reputation is one thing, and I hope you know how he strikes fear into the hearts of thousands, And two his ability to get Necropotence. I really almost will never cast him unless I need cards, I've look at Oloro and while the life is nice pre Ad Nauseam I have never seen it as that much better, I you play competitive EDH you know how fast it is you have to go off, and its super quick that your combo is in place by turn 3 to 5 at most and your ready to win once you cast doomsday, its all about what's in your hand and drawing. I hope this better helps you understand the deck and how it works and google it if you want to see just how overpowered it is.
