Wild Ricochet and similar spells against Rise of the Dark Realms?

Asked by PSheffeyMTG 4 years ago

Would spells like "Wild Ricochet" and similar copy effects when used in response to "Rise of the Dark Realms" allow you to gain control of all creatures in all graveyards before the initial caster could causing the original copy to fizzle? I just can't find any info on this interaction.

If you copy Rise of the Dark Realms with Wild Ricochet, Fork, Twincast or any other copy effects, your copy will resolve first, returning all creatures from all graveyards to the battlefield under your control. Assuming no new creatures are put into the graveyard after it resolves (such as the ones you reanimated being killed), the original Rise of the Dark Realms will do nothing.
