undying evil infinite combo?
Asked by Serion 13 years ago
Okay so if I have a Mikaeus, the Lunarch on the field with one counter and a Urabrask the Hidden out. Can I then play Undying Evil on Mikaeus, the Lunarch and use his remove a counter ability infinitely to pump my whole side?
Here is the corresponding rule:
400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence. There are seven exceptions to this rule.
None of the exceptions apply to this situation.

If you use Artificial Evolution on Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to make it give undying to a different set of creatures (say, non-Salamander or something...), then it would work.

Epochalyptik understood my point.
Conspiracy works exceptionally well for the concept, a way to get around super shenanigans would be to play deck:sakashima-the-imposter and copy Mikaeus, the Unhallowed which would give the real Mikaeus, the Unhallowed Undying too.

wouldn't Artificial Evolution also give you hate against any creature type with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed 's second ability? for example could i change non-human to non-elf, AND also destroy all elves that deal damage to me?

Serion: Yes it would. You could say that Artificial Evolution is replacing all instances of the type "Human" with "Elf" which would affect both his abilities.

No.
When Mikaeus, the Lunarch
returns to the battlefield, he will no longer have undying. When a permanent changes zones, it becomes a new object and forgets it's previous existence.
