Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh multiple artifacts??

Slightly confused by the wording on his static ability? Does it mean it reduces each activated ability by 2 of each artifact or just one artifact? So if I had a Basalt Monolith and a Witch's Cauldron would they both get reduced by 2?
But is it just one artifact per turn it will reduce, or multiple artifacts (but just the first activation of each of those artifacts each turn?)

Because it says the first activated ability of an artifact, and not "each artifact", it will only reduce a single ability once.

It means that the first time you activate the ability of an artifact each turn, the cost is reduced by for that instance only.
