Spell Cast, the stack, and me

So, let's say that I have a Jeskai Ascendancy and an untapped Rattleclaw Mystic on the battlefield. I play Retraction Helix by tapping rattleclaw and my enemy responds with Murderous Cut. Would the casting of helix allow me to tap rattleclaw for a Swan Song in response?

No.

Retraction Helix will trigger Jeskai Ascendancy's abilities, which will go onto the stack before players can respond. At that time, your opponent casts Murderous Cut, which goes onto the stack above the untap ability. You'll need an alternate source of or another way to untap Rattleclaw Mystic.
