Panharmonicon & Endless One
Asked by luca626 8 years ago
If you have Panharmonicon in play and then cast Endless One for 3 mana, does Endless One then come into the battlefield with 6 counters (because it's been doubled by Panharmonicon)?
Ok, just so I'm not confused, since Endless One says enters the battlefield with, it does not double with Panharmonicon. But something like Verdurous Gearhulk and Pelakka Wurm would double because it says "when [this creature] enters, this happens]", correct?

To further expand, Triggered abilities are formatted as such: ("When/Whenever/At") (Condition), (Effect).
If, theoretically, a card like Endless One read as: "When Endless One enters the battlefield, put X +1/+1 counters on it." then Panharmonicon would work with it, except that in that case Endless One would die for having 0 toughness before the triggered ability could even give it counters.
Edit: Ninja'd. but yes. Those cards work because they use the When/Whenever/At formatting.

No. Panharmonicon doubles triggered abilities. Endless One doesn't have any triggered abilities. It has a static ability that defines a replacement effect that, in turn, modifies how Endless One enters the battlefield.
There's no interaction between these two cards.
