I believe you mean Cast Through Time

Reading the Gatherer rulings from Cast Through Time , it says:

If you cast a card from exile "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. Any X in the mana cost will be 0. On the other hand, if the card has optional additional costs (such as kicker or multikicker), you may pay those when you cast the card. If the card has mandatory additional costs (such as Momentous Fall does), you must pay those if you choose to cast the card.

That applies to any spell that you cast "without paying its mana cost". You cannot pay alternative costs such as overload, and X will default to 0. You can, however, still pay aditional costs as kicker or multikicker.

tl;dr: X will be 0

It rebounds for four. Also you could use Mind Funeral for added fun. :)

If you rebound a card with X in it's mana cost with Cast Through Time , than X will be 0

Cast Through Time Since for rebound you cast the spell without paying any mana costs, X=0. This is true for every effect that allows you to cast a spell without paying the mana cost.

I stand corrected. Gatherer does clarify on X being zero as daniferrito said. Sadly Mind Grind will rebound for 0. However, if you copy the spell through other means.. such as Dual Casting , you will get better results. :)

It's important to point out that because X will be set to 0 by default, the exiled Mind Grind can't be cast at all when the Rebound ability triggers. It will stay in the exile zone and nothing will happen.

actually Rhadamanthus that is incorrect. Mind Grind can still be cast. If you do choose to cast Mind Grind from exile, it will be cast for 0, but it will still be cast and put into the graveyard.

That would be the case with other X-cost spells, but not Mind Grind . Mind Grind explicitly states that X can't be 0, so Mind Grind is never cast and things that trigger off a spell cast like Consuming Aberration won't trigger. This is confirmed in the ruling for Mind Grind.
