Is Plaxmanta legal in a non-green commander deck?

Asked by Halphinianian 8 years ago

I understand that the rules of commander say that if there is a mana symbol (besides those in reminder text) that is outside your commander's color identity, it is not legal. I am not sure what the symbol is in, so I don't know if I can use it.

By the way I am using this is going in an Arcum Dagsson EDH deck in the semi-combo of Soul Foundry + Plaxmanta + Unwinding Clock = shroud for days

Also, if you have any alternate hexproof/shroud for all creatures combos, please tell me!

Pretty sure it is not legal unless your commander has Green in its identity, since the symbol on Plaxmanta is not in a reminder text. Reminder text is in parenthesis.

Reminder text is italic text, for example the "(They can't be the targets of spells or abilities)" text on your card. This is important for cards like Blind Obedience, which you can play in a mono-white deck even though it has in it's reminder text.

For completeness' sake: Color identity is defined by mana cost, card text that isn't reminder text, and color indicators).

The other things aren't rules questions, but it sounds like Kira, Great Glass-Spinner is what you want in your deck...
