Is copying a spell same as casting it?

I have a transformed Primal Amulet  ^Flip and Monastery Mentor in play. Can it trigger another prowess?

No. Copies are only cast if the effect specifically says so, like on Isochron Scepter . Generally this is because you're copying a card and then casting the copy. If you copy a spell directly, the copy is simply placed on the stack, not cast.
