If I target a creature with Blustersquall and have a Willbreaker do I gain control of it and untapped?

Wanted to try this out in my Izzet Annoying Yet deck.

Yes, assuming it was already untapped. Here's what happens: your opponent controls an untapped Merrow Reejerey and you control a Willbreaker and an Island. You tap Island and put Blustersquall on the stack targeting the rejeerey. This triggers Willbreaker, whose ability is put on the stack on top of the Blustersquall, meaning it resolves first. Then the Blustersquall tries to resolve, but since it no longer has a legal target (as you now control the merrow), it fizzles (or is countered). This leaves you with two untapped creatures. Happy Derping.

It doesn't have to start out untapped, you can target a tapped creature with Blustersquall.

Or were you saying that it will only be untapped under your control if it started that way? It was a bit unclear.

The question was whether it will be untapped, so I guess that's the part the 'yes' relates to.

To phrase it more simple: The original status of the card will be retained - it will not be untapped or tapped, at least not by Blustersquall.

Sorry forgot this is a game of clarity. I thought that Blustersquall would take effect after Willbreaker. I didn't pay attention to the legal target, but yeah my question was answered.
