How many times does Karlov of the Ghost Council Trigger off of Fumigate?

Let's say there are 16 creatures on battlefield, and I also have a Karlov of the Ghost Council equipped to a Darksteel Plate. I cast Fumigate, destroying the 16 creatures. Do I gain 1 life 16 times or 16 life one time?

All the life is gained in one effect as part of the resolution of Fumigate, Karlov triggers once.

If you want this effect I'd suggest looking at Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and similar triggered abilities.
