Can Ajani's Chosen (m14) create infinite Cats with Enchanted Evening?

Ajani's Chosen

2WW

Creature--Cat

Whenever an enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, put a 2/2 white Cat creature token onto the battlefield. If that enchantment was an Aura, you may attach it to the token.

So, could this work with Enchanted Evening ? Also, could I be able to break the loop with something like an Auratog after some time? Thanks

Yes, that would work, provided that Enchanted Evening was out there first. And Auratog can break the loop if you sacrifice Enchanted Evening. M14 is starting to sound like fun for modern right about now...

Actually, since it's a mandatory action, without something like Auratog or a disenchanting or stifling effect, this would loop forever and not be stoppable, so if you couldn't stop it, you'd actually cause the game to end in a draw.

Actually, it doesn't. The Cat tokens enter the battlefield and then become enchantments the next time state-based actions are checked. That's the same reason why Saprolings don't trigger Landfall with Life and Limb or how Turntimber Ranger 's Wolves don't set off Ally abilities with Xenograft .

@edbird: Your wrong. It's a continuous effect and it applies even as the permanent is entering the battlefield.

611.3c Continuous effects that modify characteristics of permanents do so simultaneously with the permanent entering the battlefield. They dont wait until the permanent is on the battlefield and then change it. Because such effects apply as the permanent enters the battlefield, they are applied before determining whether the permanent will cause an ability to trigger when it enters the battlefield.
