Missing Hub (Steal decks)

TappedOut forum

From what I understand there are a number of decks of various colors that largely lean on the stealing of others board states or from their graveyards, etc. This is why I am surprised there is no hub or tag for such a deck. I'm hoping that others agree that this would be a useful tag or filter for those looking for this kind of deck.

There is one. It's called Aikido. It's Japanese. Shortest possible translation of this is "Tactical Appropriation".

Femme_Fatale I think that needs to be changed. I've been playing the game since scars of mirrodin if not before and never heard that term used

Um... no.

Aikido is not an aggressive art, rather it works along the lines of redirecting & reversing incoming aggression. In the mtg context this would take the form using things like Divine Deflection , Boros Reckoner , etc. Or, to put it another way, Aikido is basically a Pillow fort covered in deadly traps.

Theft really never factors into the equation.

Are there really enough decks to justify the hub?

Can it really be considered its own archetype?

Theft is included under Aikido under the philosophy that it is a reactive style that turns the opponents' strength against them.

And not just standard, Commander has a few that I can think off. I even built a full steal deck around Dragonlord Silumgar. I know there are also ones for Marchesa, the Black Rose that mainly push taking a creature from someone to attack the lowest player to give them a counter to have them killed or to sack them after resulting in new ownership of the creatures. These are just in my play group alone, I would think there would be others too. I mostly want to properly tag this deck, Aikido is pretty interesting though. Was curious what that one was.
