Soo M15 looks pretty good to me for new standard

Based on what Ive seen from M15 so far, I really like it. I feel like with some early ramp into new nissa into Kruphix, God of Horizons into some of the sweet mythic artifacts, U/G might see some play in the new standard. Any thoughts on what else you guys think may be possible?

Are people still trying to play Kruphix, God of Horizons ?

I thought we were past that.

I know what won't be possible- Codex Shredder after RtR rotates. Pyxis of Pandemonium just doesn't work...

Mono-White seems like it will now be viable.

So excited to see change. Current standard bores me to tears.

I must agree. I had some fun with standard when M13 and Innistrad block were still there, but when the best decks are mono-colored or take fifty years to win a game (U/W Elixir of Immortality , are you serious?), the format is awful.

There are a lot of cool cards in M15, especially the Soul cycle. Soul of Theros seems like a cool card that may even challenge Elspeth, Sun's Champion for the finisher in Naya midrange decks. The new planeswalkers are pretty sweet as well, and Ajani Steadfast seems pretty playable.

Standard is diverse with a meta that changes by the week. Not sure what format you guys are playing.

I keep seeing Ghost and his despair that Codex Shredder will be rotating, and I can't help but chuckle each time.

I wouldn't have so much despair if there was actually something decent to replace it with.

@Rasta_Viking29 I'm not so sure about that. Mono-red has won three straight tournaments, and the thing about that is that prior to those successes, mono-red was not a deck in the format. That's an unhealthy format, especially when despite subtle shifts in metagames, black devotion variants make up at least a quarter of decks. I'm glad there are plenty of powerful cards in M15 that will hopefully change that up.
