Voltaic Key Combo

Found out what i think to be a infinite mana combo. You have to have 2 Voltaic Key on the battlefield and one Gilded Lotus. Tap lotus for mana, use first voltaic key to untap lotus. Add for mana again, use second key to untap first key. Rinse repeat.

This doesn't work.
Tap Gilded Lotus for BBB. Untap Lotus with the first Voltaic Key, then tap again to put you to BBBBB. Tap the second Key to untap the first key (BBBB), then tap the first Key to untap the Lotus (BBB) and tap it again (BBBBBB).
Now both of your Keys are tapped.

Except at the end of that you'll have two tapped Voltaic Keys...
Here are your steps:
Tap Gilded Lotus for WWW
Activate Voltaic Key A to untap Gilded Lotus, leave WW floating.
Activate Voltaic Key B to untap Voltaic Key A, leave W floating
Tap Gilded Lotus for WWW, have WWWW floating.
Activate Voltaic Key A to untap Gilded Lotus, leave WWW floating.
note how you'll still have two tapped Voltaic Keys with no other way to untap them...

I think you might be a bit confused since the Time Vault+Voltaic Key combo let's you go infinite with turns. The big difference is that you go infinite by having your Key unwrap on each successive turn, which then untaps the Vault, then the extra turn untaps the Key etc.

It would work if you turn a Voltaic Key into a creature (think Ensoul Artifact) and enchant it with Freed from the Real. Gilded Lotus would then provide you with enough colored mana to rinse and repeat.

I don't think that works, unless I'm missing something. When you say 'rinse repeat', your second voltaic key is still tapped, so if tap lotus for mana then use the first key to untap it, then both keys are tapped and your combo fizzles.
