Is Blood Moon good in Legacy Burn

I have been thinking about sideboard stuff would blood moon be a good card for legacy burn?
I think if you're playing Ancient Tomb s and City of Traitors you could get away with mainboarding it. That's a pretty unorthodox burn deck, though. Turn two Blood Moon in burn could be interesting, though.

I've used it with great effect but NotSoLuckyLydia is right, turn three you'd rather just burn their face off. It's really only helpful against control decks that try to slow you down. On the plus side, while it's out you can still smack them in the face with Price of Progress

sylvannos you dont play those in burn.
Its a great sideboard card, because so many decks just scoop to blood moon in legacy, and a turn 3 scoop is better than fighting it out imo. But its not a 4 of, and its not always even main board material most times. Control decks in the legacy sense run a lot of basics, and some even run blood moon because its more hurtful to their oppent than them.

@mckin: I'm aware, which is why I said it'd be unorthodox. Could be worth experimenting with. You'd have to cut Price of Progress to make room, so it'd be iffy.

Legacy burn rules. I built one of these recently complete with fetch lands. Generally I enjoy a brutal deck that can win against many kinds of decks. I have lost a few games with my delver deck when opponents resolve a Blood Moon
or Magus of the Moon
. My experience playing burn makes me think that the 3 mana could be better resourced by using them to play burn spells. Ideally I will cast only 6-7 cards and damage you down to 0. By turn 3 i'm eyeing the kill. So my final decision has to go Blood Moon
can be a decent sideboard option vs control.

It isn't really. Because you can't play it on turn one or two, and you're hoping to win shortly after, or even on the turn, that you'd be playing it, it's probably not worth it.
