a friend of mine uses a deck that makes me sacrifice my creatures nearly every turn, what kind of deck or cards would be effective against a deck like that...all I can think of is red deck , direct damage to player.
What format?
Sigarda, Host of Herons or Tajuru Preserver will work

Witchbane Orb if you're not looking for anything standard.

Play with creatures that makes players sacrifice creatures as well, essentially making each sacrifice spell a 2-for-1 (assuming that he runs creatures in his deck).
If Devour Flesh is his only form of removal, and you both have one creature out, I'm pretty sure he won't cast it, if your creature is Abyssal Gatekeeper .
Sigarda, Host of Herons , as mentioned above, works as well.

It depends completely on the format, power level, and composition of your friend's deck.
In general, your best answers to repeated sacrifice are to either not rely on creatures or to flood the board with them. Sacrifice effects generally only deal with one creature at a time, so flooding the board will let you get damage through with your best dudes while sac'ing your worst ones.

@ denijsx90:
Angel of Jubilation
wouldn't work, because something like Devour Flesh
does not require a life payment or sacrifice to cast it. The angel would only work against things like Altar's Reap
.

Well until they pull a one of those all of his non black creatures will get a boost and Angel of Jubilation still does the same thing as Sigarda, Host of Herons , except jubilation applies to everyone, not just yourself

The Q&A is for rules questions. Epochalyptik or someone may or may not move this to the General forum.
Um. Play creatureless control or something? Nothing for you to sac, all his spells are useless.
