I want to know how many people got duels and for those people what deck they think is the best. for those that didn't buy the game this link is all decklists and unlocks.

personaly i think chandra's deck Born of flame is the best becasue you get a lot of versitile burn spells along with a good amount of creatures that come back to your hand from your graveyard to garuntee consistant creature casting. and then you get the global burn spells that wipe the board and allow you to get your board posistion back.

I've been unlocking decks one-at-a-time, so I haven't played each one yet, but so far Chandra's deck has done the best for me, and it's because of the mass removal and self-recurring creatures.

I only played around a little with Garruk, since the game started me off with his deck totally unlocked (because I owned Duels 2012), but the customized version I threw together can dump out almost all the lands in the deck by turn 6-7 if I get a good draw, so that's cool.

When I first played Jace's deck I thought it was pretty good (beat Revenge Nicol Bolas on the first try with no modifications), but as I play against other decks, the lack of better defensive cards is starting to piss me off. I really wish it had something as good as Wall of Air , like the previous Jace mill deck did, but there's nothing like that in the list. It's all bounce and tap effects that are either temporary or mana-intensive.

I only got it for iPad, if I have an earlier version, is there a way to unlock stuff there too?

Personally I loved playing the Ajani, Caller of the Pride deck. 120 health on turn 6-7 was kinda entertaining.

I havent tried chandra yet cause i dont like burn but so far goblins and the mono blue drake deck. I played drakes against ajani. Ajani deck had 240+ life and i still won with drakes.

Lets play on xbox: BaneSlayerShane

Talrand's deck is the best. I took out all of the crappy Drake cards (except Talrand himself) and the Favorable Winds and just built it like hardcore control. Plus, it has Panoptic Mirror and Time Warp . Get to turn-5, cast Mirror, and if your opponent doesn't destroy it before my next turn, I get infinite turns.

thats true i forgot about that. that is pretty nasty if not dealt with so that makes talrand's deck more broken if the combo goes off but im not taken on the consistancy with only having both cards as a one of in the deck. but if ran full control then it definitely becomes a threat to the slower decks out there.

Krenko's deck is pretty good. You're able to hit pretty hard pretty quickly with it, and you can get some real badass goblins for the deck like Krenko, Mob Boss himself, Warren Instigator , Goblin Guide and even Goblin Piledriver .

I can also further back that up because the only deck I had trouble beating was, surprise surprise, Krenko's. It pissed me off so much. :|

Also, is anyone else finding the new M13 rings to be really handy?

I found the best way to beat krenko was to play ajani's deck. If you have enough lifegain goblins can't do much.

See, thats the first thing I did because I thought that same thing. However, I swear when I used the deck the game rigged it so I couldn't possibly win, because he'd always draw the right amount of burn to get rid of my creatures, or always outnumber me with my crap draws.

I raged for a bit, came back and I was like "Screw this, we'll fight fire with fire you stupid looking goblin prick" and beat him first shot with his own deck.

I guess it comes from playing my own goblin deck for the last year lol. I know how to beat one.

Whole game seems rigged to me when in campain. After turn 6 i just draw lands. I counted and drew 9 lands in a row.

If you're using Liliana you're in pretty good shape then. She has some amazing 8 and 9 mana drops if you can draw that much every game.

I finished the campaign several times, with different decks, here are my conclusions: Goblins: certainly when properly configured is the fastest way to end the campaign, almost unbeatable, the only duel was difficult to defeat the insane primordial hydras. Garruk - A deck brute force when properly configured also almost unbeatable, but I had serious problems with the primordial hydras, not so fast like goblins to defeat them. Liliana - a lot of fun with black magic, not as fast as kenkro (goblins) deck, but well balanced. Ajani - a little slow, but in most cases certain victory* Peacemaker - The deck more stable in my humble opinion, it's a deck hard to beat because it has too many spells to disable their opponents, but is slower than kenkro.I advise you to defeat every opponent with different decks and more, change your tactics by choosing different cards for each duel, I'm sure is a great fun :)

Avoiding any discussion of bad draws or hands cuz thats going to suck for any deck. Crosswinds is probably the best, nothing can really compete with infinate turns and there are a few ways to get it. Plenty of control, copy spells, pull spells from the grave, crosswinds hits its stride between 4-7 mana which is fairly consistant, slight of hand lets you grab more land if youre dry or skip them if youre flooded, 2 and 3 mana counters, it takes a really strong start by your opponent to beat it. Goblin gangland, well everyone knows that with the right start thats an insane deck. Peacekeepers is realy strong if you get to 6 mana. Mana ramp pack instinct and its just about gg. Personaly I dont think born of flame is all that top tier, its not bad by any strech but the burn isnt all that great, theres too much colateral dammage imo and pulling your creatures back leaves you mana tapped without much if any progress for the turn and you fall behind. Idk sometimes the burn is crucial and other times its just stalling. Exalted is pretty good, but I havent seen a great one that didnt revolve around duty bound dead, so its very stapley and must have cards imo (I just personaly dont like that style, but its great for ai who always has the same cards in hand lol) but in the end I have to say crosswinds because with an archeomancer/followed footsteps/and time warp it doesnt matter who youre playing you just win. An honerable mention to lilianas deck because if it gets to late game its unreal, the only problem is getting there.

I uh... I think you're a little late to the conversation. It's a good idea to take a second to check the last post date to avoid necro-ing very old threads.

I'm getting ready to post something regarding a possible design flaw related to things like this, so I'm curious: Did you find this thread through a Google search, a Tapped Out search, or some other link or method?

Why don't we just lock threads after 8 months of inactivity, or something? Most other messae boards do.
