Anyone think LOTR Secret Lair is worth it?

Seems the normal art versions all together are worth about 25 cents. Bit disappointing from a like-to-like value perspective.
Anyone actually going to buy this?

I've been far too busy lately to pay attention.
I thought LOTRs was its own mini set, like Forgotten Realms? Is it only a secret lair, or both?

TypicalTimmy - There is the regular set, which skips Standard and goes right to Modern, there are Commander precons, and there is a single (incredibly disappointing) SL.

Are these going to be the big missing pieces for the people who are trying to get a complete set (like, to frame it or whatever)? That’s the one thing I can come up with. Rare for rare’s sake.

Only upside I see is that it is soo loathed, almost no one buys it. Therefore, those who do buy it will have a product that is scarce and worth more.
Still not planning to buy it. Just annoyed at the missed opportunity. They could have easily just done a rename of sol ring (like the buy-a-box promos) and some other sought after cards.
Or did what I was expecting and print mechanically unique cards like the Street Fighter secret lair.

This whole summer drop of Secret Lairs seems pretty flat and devoid of much value as a whole. The LotR Secret Lair stands out as probably the most egregious one, besides maybe the set of basic Mountains with goats on it.

I am not sure what Wizards was thinking with this one. Two of the cards are commons, one is uncommon, and the last is just a mediocre card. Even if we accept Wizards does not look at the secondary market (and they couldn’t have - these would have been commissioned and made before LotR spoiler season), they would not have needed a Mirror of Galadriel to foretell these cards would be rather lacklustre.
I was not planning on buying this to begin with - I am a pretty big LotR nerd, but am not overly fond of the animated film’s artistic style. I was hoping there might be a SL with an artistic style I did enjoy - would have bought that in a heartbeat - but, alas. It was not to be.
