So I just whipped this up after seeing the commanders quarters on possible Gods. Let me know what you think and if it's over powered I'm open to suggestions!

Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor

Legendary Artifact-Equipment

Equipped creature gets +3/+1 and has flying and trample.

Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, Mjolnir deals damage equal to half equipped creature's power rounded up to each creature that player controls.

, unattach Mjolnir: Mjolnir deals damage to any target equal to the previously equipped creature's power and has "equip creatures previously equipped with Mjolnir this turn is ."

I was worried about pingers being overpowered with this and thought to make it combat damage only. However I like the possibilities of synergy with things like that. I mean give goblin sharpshooter death touch and its probably even worse.

That's a cool card. The unattach ability is actually extremely powerful. If you have a high power creature, you'll be killing people really easily. I would remove the "equip creatures previously equipped with Mjolnir this turn is " so that it's not extremely easy to kill people with a high power creature. Even without that, it's still a very impressive card. It's basically a Chandra's Ignition on an equipment, but it's repeatable.

Well with sharpshooter specifically it untap a on creature deaths. So if the opponent has any 2 or less toughness they die and it has that many untap triggers to shoot the player again with, causing more damage to their creatures. Effectively board wiping them and likely doing at least a fair bit of damage to the face. It’s similar to giving sharpshooter death touch but there is the added bonus of burn.

Both good points. As far as the equipping for I mostly worded it that way for flavor as throwing the hammer and catching it again. However I could possibly make it cost ? This way its less than the equip cost but still greatly reduced. Also you have to pay to unequip it so the whole process would be 3 mana in boros. As far as sharpshooter yes that seems pretty darn good. But to cast and equip in the same turn is 7 Mana. I thought to myself the combo of godo or aurelia with helm of the host is just an instant win so at least you (your opponent) have a chance with this. Thoughts?

Having the Pyroclasm effect on combat damage instead of damage in general would probably fix a lot of broken combo's.

I like how the hammer throw is attempted, but if you throw it on your turn, you can't catch it (equip is only at sorcery speed). Maybe instead of reducing the equip cost, you could try something like:

"At the beginning of next upkeep, attach Mjolnir to target (Legendary?) creature you control that it was previously equipped to."

I can't edit posts. Obviously I meant you can't "catch" the hammer if you're throwing it on an opponent's turn

I've thought about it a lot and i completely agree with changing it to combat damage for balancing issues (similar to the swords) however maybe it should activate on combat damage to a player or planeswalker? Also with the reequipping issue you can reequip on an opponents turn with things like leonin shikari, brass squire, and aurlock windwalker. I think not being able to activate this ability on every turn but many times on your turn is pretty decent balancing. What do you think?
