I have my doubts between Lethal Vapors and Tainted AEther both of them sounds like good cards against aggro, but Lethal Vapors don't work in indestructible creatures whereas Tainted AEther works normaly.

Or Tainted AEther they can sacrifice a land or another creature instead of the played creature, whereas Lethal Vapors gives no choice.

I find most interesting Lethal Vapors because it gives a chance to destroy instantly, with cost of one turn... But frankly rarely someone will do it.

between the two, which has more functionality in a commander deck

Aggro? In EDH? Not unless someone's playing tokens or Voltron. Or unless they don't understand how EDH works.

Lethal Vapors and Tainted AEther are good stax cards, and they can really make an opponent change up his or her game plan, but they aren't indispensable powerhouses by any means. I personally wouldn't play either in a relatively tuned EDH deck.

Tainted AEther seems better, but late game, the turn skip from Lethal Vapors could be deadly.

I also probably wouldn't run either, but I'd choose the vapors if I had to.

I run Tainted AEther in a Merieke Ri Berit steal-their-stuff deck and it forces people to play around it quite harshly without overly upsetting my own momentum. Expect to make enemies with every other player once this hits the board though.

Its fun watching people's anguished expressions when this little-known card hits the board turn 4.

I run both, and Spreading Plague in my creatureless Malfegor666.

In my experience, people seem to fear Tainted AEther more than Lethal Vapors .

Lethal Vapors is a more controlling card, because the creature you play is the one that gets destroyed. With Tainted AEther they have the option of playing a huge threat and sacrificing a land they don't need anymore, or some piddly token guy or what have you.

Plus time walk in black isn't exactly terrible.

Devonin has a fair point in that Tainted AEther is probably less useful late game, but if you play it after any kind of board wipe (and this is EDH, there are many) you'll generally be able to irritate a lot of people.
I've yet to see someone decide to skip their turn for Lethal Vapors , its such a massive downside in multiplayer that people generally sit on their hands until someone draws a Naturalize

So it's MULTIPLE time walks in black then. Even better.
