I need help making this deck more survivable. I have the theme made to be on the side of theft and control. but I typically get targeted into oblivion the moment I start to do anything sometimes without even being a major threat. Any suggestion that would help keep this deck and myself alive longer? I'm trying to keep most of the wincons in the deck (Isochron+Dramtic) (Approach of the second sun+Narset's reversal), but I am open to any and all help and suggestions. Thank you very much.

Are you typically at a higher power level than the rest of your pod? Your wincons seems pretty competitive.

Snap157 I'm typically playing with some higher level players. Some people have jank decks they put together, but their usually still playing with some high end cards. I've got some good cards for wins, but I need cards to better protect myself to get to my win cons.

You have no board wipes excluding the 7 mana ultimatum (highly unreliable when your getting focused early and by 3 players).

The deck seems to be just a pile of good card/recently printed stuff, if your pod is focusing you down, its for the reason they don't want you to get into a position where you are too big to fail. I'm not sure if they lack interaction, or just don't like getting stuff stolen, but this seems to be the type of deck that takes some time to get a foothold on the game which is a struggle at the early stages, but becomes difficult to deal with once you have a hold.

edit: land count seems low with your curve and low amount of ramp. this is prob a reason why your struggling early on when you cant cast a chunk of your spells in time.

I don't think you need to protect yourself as much as you need to make the deck faster. You have a lot of really bulky cards that could instead be more ramp/card draw. Having an average CMC of 3.57 is really high for a deck you want to be competitive, especially looking at your distribution.

You also have a very low win condition/ enabler desity. This means that while you have two primary win condition lines, you have basically zero in the way of substitutions for those. I know that Lithoform Engine can fill in for Isochron Scepter, but you're not running more support from stuff like Nivix Guildmage and Turnabout or any other kinds of overlapping combos. Having more redundancy in these enabler pieces means that you drastically increase your chances of assembling a combo becuase you don't need that one specific card.

Does anyone have any suggested cards they think would simply have better options instead of? Cards that can be sacrificed in place of more ramp/card draw/other to help the deck?
