Ghoulcaller Gisa? Competitive?
Commander Deck Help forum

My favourite deck in the world, and my all time favorite commander has to be none other than the godess Ghoulcaller Gisa.
Absolutely beautiful commander. She pulls off some crazy wacky plays, and I think she makes the board so much more interesting in a casual multiplayer game.
That being said, I like to play my decks as brutally and interesting as I can. I want to find as many possible Ghoulcaller Gisa combos that will fit into this deck, and make a powerful semi-competitve EDH deck. I want my board to be as versatile as it can, and right now, after building this deck I have and playing it 1000 times, its put to shame by a lot of other decks that I have been making recently.
I know she is a tier 4 commander, but I see the potential in running Ghoulcaller Gisa as my commander. I really am asking for help on this deck becuase I think it'll end up just being more fun and make me all around more passionate for playing it as a whole.
If you have ANY decks that are specifically good, very neat, powerful, or fun to play that feature Ghoulcaller Gisa as their commander, please do not hesitate to leave me a link so that I can study and reference it.
I don't know what direction to take this deck, becuase I want a complete upside down revision of the entire thing, so I'm calling ALL PLAYERS. Those who love the thrill of the sacrafice, or the comeback of a black deck comboing off in the last 10 life of the game and pulling through for the win. I ask you to help me with this project. I want to make it as fun, interesting, and cool as I can.
I'm not even sure what direction to take the deck, so if you could please tell me any suggestions (like making a Stax Deck, making a Zombie Tribal, etc.) I would greatly appreciate that sense of guidance aswell.
If you do so make card suggestions, I also ask you make suggestions as to what you think I should take out.
what isn't powerful enough? What doesn't deserve to be in a deck like this? if anyone could reach out and lend me some advice, I'd appreciate it a lot.
Update 1 Show
I've been playing Gisa since she first came out. And I've been developing this particular list for about 2 years now. Give it a look.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/Ghoulcaller Gisa/

I know that giving a creature a huge buff, even if temporarily, means you can make a ton more zombies, so that's why I play Nightmare Lash and Lashwrithe in MagicalHacker - Ghoulcaller Gisa. Oh and also, Phyrexian Dreadnought is pretty amazing.

Following up on what MagicalHacker said, Strata Scythe is another way to make a lot of zombies. My Gisa deck personally has kind of evolved into mono-black goodstuff, with some cards that go well with Gisa.

@Podma101 Thanks for showing me this deck! I managed to snag a few good cards from it here and there, and I've decided that I want to make a deck thats similar to a Stax deck, but allows me to maintain control over most of, if not all of the creatures on the board, forcing my opponents to sacrifice, exile, and destroy all of their creatures while I keep as many zombies on the field to maintain the cost of these artifacts and creatures (Is there a name for that?).
@Rogue1313 could you please re-post that link? I think you might have posted the wrong one, I cant click the one you sent! Thanks!
@MagicalHacker All of these suggestions are great, which is why I'm running all of them! Thanks a bunch!
@kgcarrag Strata scythe is a nice little buff, and is definitely going on my maybe-board! I think that this would work well with Snow-Covered Swamps
I have made a MAJOR series of revisions to the deck, and its completely flipped upside down from what it was yesterday! If you guys would be kind enough to check it out, I'd appreciate it a ton! Thanks a million for the feedback too, I really appreciate it.

The deck I ran in my group that won a lot was Lively Undead. Just swap Gisa for Kalitas, it was the same deck but I wanted to try him as commander. This deck was purely zombie tribal. I'll take a look at your deck in the morning to give suggestions!
