Return of the Gearhulk (as a playset). —Jan. 17, 2017

Metallic Rebuke is getting removed. Realistically we can't generate clue tokens till turn 4 and use them for this cards casting cost till turn 5 or 6, in which case it can become a waste of a counter when they just pay it's extra cost.

Baral, Chief of Compliance isn't going to make the cut. I ran him and his value is certainly there, but it's honestly more useful for a decks removal to just be dead draws in their hand, and spending mana to counter and protect him is cards wasted on not countering or removing their board state. Basically he is a turn 4 play at earliest, and protecting him is counter to the idea of the deck.

I am adding more copies back of Torrential Gearhulk as it's ability to abuse graveyard spells (especially Engulf the Shore and Glimmer of Genius make it the best option for the deck.

I like Crush of Tentacles more than Engulf the Shore as it bounces permanents instead of just creatures. I've played some control mirror match-ups where they were happy to stall out the game when they saw I was drawing like mad and would likely deck before them. If you're engulfing for any real value it's past turn six anyway, and getting an 8/8 octopus creature off crush is just gravy. food for thought and +1.
