Born of the Gods — THEROS 2/3

At long last the Great Fungus has managed to plant it's damp tendrils into the rich soil of Theros!

  • Bile Blight - Perfect card for Thelon's arsenal of rot.

Not an arrow loosed, javelin thrown, nor sword raised.
None were needed.

"Like the old wise man once said; If you wan't to have fun, forget it."

A bit disappointing turn of the events. First "real" sweeper spell for Fungi deck that actually fits the theme and of course it gets $10+ price tag.

Budget limit has not been breached yet but if Toxic Deluge 's price goes any higher I may have to think about replacing it or cutting something else. Gah, it's Scavenging Ooze all over again.

What's wrong with Black Sun's Zenith ? It even has a 'the stars are right' sound to it. Riptide Replicator might be nice also, mid-late game you could make lots of big things that could actually be given 'creature type- Mi-Go' or whatever. I'm trying to think of an artifact that could be a brain-in-a-can thingie for you but nothing is jumping out at me.

Nettlevine Blight -- pure EDH evil that is fun and hilarious -- fits the fungus theme with it being a blight that you are unleashing upon an opponent.

Mindslaver is a brain-in-a-can.

Hmm, perhaps I should replace Toxic Deluge with Nettlevine Blight , Deluge is cool but still damn expensive, about 30% of total budget.

I love all those different blights, they bring great flavor for fungus folk. Mushrooms start creeping out of the ground and cause all flora and fauna to wither and rot away.

Need to keep my fingers crossed that Theros brings some nice new cards in 'Born of the Gods'.
