WHHHAAAT 60 UPVOTES —Sept. 22, 2014

THANK YOU ALL for the positive feedback. This baby hit #5 today, and continues to climb!

Updates:

Dropping Siege Rhino. Love the card, but so far its listed at $4 or $5 apiece. :( much sadness

Adding some trample in the form of Awaken the Bear and possibly Tuskguard Captain or Temur Charger, as suggested by albitron Thoughts?

Keep up the feedback! Once khans actually comes out I will get the deck and bring it to FNM for more results, but in the meantime playtest it out!

Play tests very well! Man Ajani's Pridemate can get big!

Not sure if it fits in budget, but I think throwing Anafenza, the Foremost into the sideboard to wreck the day for delvers would be a good fit.

varygoode i dont think that I can put that in, as some sites that Ive looked at list it at $8, which isnt quite budgety enough. I deff agree though, it would work well in the deck.

This is awesome! My only suggestion is something to give your 12/12 Ajani's Pridemate trample to push that damage through. Nylea isn't really budget, maybe Awaken the Bear ? It's kind of expensive CMC wise, but I can't think of any others at the moment.

albitron I agree, trample is needed.

What do you recommend though? I have a couple of options:Temur Charger , Awaken the Bear , Nylea's Emissary , Tuskguard Captain , or maybe I could even throw in Scourge of Skola Vale

What do you guys think?

I would suggest Tuskguard Captain if more creatures were based around the counters, but because it's only Ajani's Pridemate I think Awaken the Bear is probably your best bet. The scourge is too slow in my experience, I made a whole deck based around him but its 3-4 turns before you can attack after you cast him.
