What's really cool about Silent Sentinel is that he can put enchantments on creatures with shroud or hexproof. Because the enchantment is entering the battlefield and not targeting anything, you can Pacifism a Dragonlord Ojutai. Pretty neat interaction, and I think it warrants consideration if this deck makes it into the late game often enough. +1

I think Battlewise Hoplite might be better than the Sentinel, 7 mana plus an attack is a lot.

If I were you I would have the full playset of ordeal of thassa and only a two-of the ordeal of heliod, card advantage is much better than life gain.

Aquafier, Battlewise Hoplite is a nice card, but the whole point of the sentinel is to get my nice auras out of the graveyard. I admit they are expensive and slow to get that going, so it may come to pass that I swap them out for the slightly quicker Lotus-Eye Mystics but they only get the aura to my hand. I'll know more as I play test this. But thanks for the suggestion :)

you definitely want more protection spells in the board like feat of resistance and ajani's presence to protect against removal heavy decks. That is once you make a sideboard.

Maybe a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or two to help get your sentinel out a bit sooner?

Center Soul could be really good. When they try to kill your dude, you get to basically counter it, and then make a dude more or less unblockable on your next turn.

Instead of Center Soul, which just makes that card not a target for two(ish) turns, maybe Gods Willing? The scry could be quite good, and for one less mana.
