BFZ refreshing —Sept. 27, 2015
Not a ton in Battle for Zendikar for this deck (eldrazi took most of the space for colorless cards away from artifacts), but still a few changes to make.
-Displacement Wave - put it in because I though it was an instant. Took it out because it's not. Sorcery speed makes this a lot weaker.
+Pulse of the Grid - instant speed draw engine. Seems worth testing. Availability of blue mana will likely be a major component of how good this ends up being. (also depends on whether I can get the buyback consistently)
-Dreamstone Hedron - this isn't really a ramp deck, so getting to 9 mana isn't particularly important. May return at some point though.
+Hedron Matrix - on the other hand, ramping to 6 is pretty relevant. Seems better than the Dreamstone.
edit:
-Spine of Ish Sah - 7 mana is a lot, and I'm never really happy to play it. It's really only good if you can sacrifice it repeatedly, and I don't have enough sac outlets.
+Clock of Omens - testing. Wasn't in before because I felt like I didn't have enough tap abilities.... but looking again, I don't need that many to make it usable - it only needs tapping artifact out to be good. Worst case scenario, it untaps some mana rocks.
