Hiya all, and welcome to my profile. I am an avid MTG player in Belleville, Ontario, Canada (for any other Bellevillians in the T/O community) , though I have dabbled in other TCG's over the years (Yu Gi OH, Legend of the Five Rings). I Started during Mirage with a 5c Starter Deck, amassed a fair collection of 16 different decks and then quit for an extended period of time (around Mercedian Masques). I then got back into it a bit just before Khans release, and ever since have been attending any local events I can make it to. I started back with Standard, but now I am equiped for Standard, Modern, EDH and have a FRF draft cube.

I trade IRL mostly, used to do a lot of online trading on here and Pucatrade. Now I have my entire collection logged on Deckbox (same user name). Always looking for things, will juggle between sites if you prefer to trade here, so feel free to have a look.

To finish up, I'm always brewing something. I see a card and try to build around it just because... I am also on a quest to make a Viable $20 MTG deck to go 1st in a Modern FNM against the $700-1000 decks, just to say I did it. So if anyone ever wants some deck help, feel free to ask and I will do my best to help out (just don't ask me what to take out).

Changelings I was considering using to fill out the curve as the lowest dragon is 4cmc. There will have to be some small non dragon fliers or other utilities to fill. Unless the lower half is all ramp and draw to stomp on the gas hard and get dragons on the field asap... idk.

What if we turned the tokens into dragons via Arcane Adaptation and/or Mirror Entity? The synergy with Tarkir dragons is there for the triggers, but yes sacrificial fodder is good too.

Strongly considering Esper for sure, and Alela does make sense considering the artifact ramp and tribal support cards.

Tzefick, regarding your unofficial judging the layout of the card would combine (hah!) the layouts of both a split card and a transform card. So the front side would have your two sides and rules text on the very bottom of the card. Then instead of Fusing you basically, as TypicalTimmy mentioned, meld the two halfs of the front face transforming the card into a combined version. A cleaner version of Meld, no need to keep two cards aligned as you try tapping/untapping them.

Also, I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to effect the outcome of anyones ideas or anything so...

Joe_Ken_ I was thinking it would need artifact support given that would be a route for both tribal support and ramp.

TypicalTimmy that would be interesting to see for ideas.

WizardOfTheNorthernCoast fun thing about commander is the diversity. Unlike other formats using the same top decks and no imagination and having a limited card pool there are alot more options. You never know if something works or not unless you try. And it doesn't always have to be t1, turn 4 win... just has to be fun and exciting. I'm always looking for 'off the beaten path' ways of building things instead of what is most popular. Maybe Greenless elfs and whiteless soldiers could be fun too ;)

This time I think I have a decent word that is wide open for interpretation/creativity.

Hiya folks, just gunna drop this here for awhile... As much as I don't need new projects I've me up with another idea while being bored to death at work. That idea though needs your ideas, examples, and input. If you haven't guessed from the title...

Redless Dragons.

That leave the 4 other colors to work with. Commander options are in short supply for these colors being:

I guess we have to ask what do we lose with red, and it's a lot. Fire breathing, most tribal bluffs, cost reduction, and dragon tokens. Could be replaced sort of, but that leans heavy on green for ramp which is the least shiny of the dragon colors I think. So much so that I am on the fence about dropping to 3 colors.

Esper dragons offer control as most esper decks do, but can it go fast enough like a typical dragon deck or will it stall for the long game? Or keep green and drop another color? White seems like the next best choice except I like Taigam, Ojutai Master and Scalelord Reckoner alot for this. Sans black would lose alot of removal options like both Silumgars, Crux of Fate, and Deathbringer Reagent. Blue too also loses the Silumgars, Taigam and control options like counterspells.

So now that my thoughts are out of the way, what are yours? Have any of you done this before and care to share examples/ideas?

My proof reading sucks apparently, corrections below... Totally forgot about Meld until reading your comment TypicalTimmy, but now I can see it does seem like a cleaner version instead of having 2 half hard separate.

(Uncommon) the drake should read 'non creature spell' because it is linked to the prowess benefit. I just forgot it was not limited to instants and sorceries for some reason.

(Rare) more of a hindsight correction... all the cards just add P/T of both sides together, and I'm feeling the flip side should be a touch bigger being mean and green and rare...

(Mythic) first half should be named Fallen Rider - Zombie Soldier because a knight is not a knight without his trusty steed. XD

cheeseycrackers Unfortunately no, it is still dismantled for the creation of other decks. Also I havent gotten alot of play time in since my daughter was born over a year ago. I only edited this deck in an attempt to sort my lists but it didn't work out so well.

It was a great deck though and with all the new sets that have come out since summer of '18 it could even be better. I have so many projects on the go I haven't really looked at what new goodies could work here but I'm sure there are some at least. Maybe you could copy it and test it out online for yourself, see if you like it then upgrade according to tastes/meta.

Combine in this instance will be like Fuse on a split card with one exception. When you Combine the spell you combine the costs and transform it. This allows for a few different strategies to be played in early game (first half, low cost), mid game (second half, mid cost), or late game (combined).

The only downside I think is if you want both creatures separately you'd have to have multiple cards which isn't ideal in singleton formats. Were this to appear in a set I think a marker would be included in packs in the token slot so there's less confusion about which side was cast.

Examples will be fewer this go around because it's basically three cards per card created. Sorry for the not so inventive names, but simplicity helps the number of words and space req's.
