Hiya all, and welcome to my profile. I am an avid MTG player in Belleville, Ontario, Canada (for any other Bellevillians in the T/O community) , though I have dabbled in other TCG's over the years (Yu Gi OH, Legend of the Five Rings). I Started during Mirage with a 5c Starter Deck, amassed a fair collection of 16 different decks and then quit for an extended period of time (around Mercedian Masques). I then got back into it a bit just before Khans release, and ever since have been attending any local events I can make it to. I started back with Standard, but now I am equiped for Standard, Modern, EDH and have a FRF draft cube.

I trade IRL mostly, used to do a lot of online trading on here and Pucatrade. Now I have my entire collection logged on Deckbox (same user name). Always looking for things, will juggle between sites if you prefer to trade here, so feel free to have a look.

To finish up, I'm always brewing something. I see a card and try to build around it just because... I am also on a quest to make a Viable $20 MTG deck to go 1st in a Modern FNM against the $700-1000 decks, just to say I did it. So if anyone ever wants some deck help, feel free to ask and I will do my best to help out (just don't ask me what to take out).

Well, thanks for reading. Feel free to browse my Gallery of Decks, +1, comment, take ideas, whatever suits your fancy. Happy playing and may your trades be golden.

Hello fellow Isperia fan, allow me to shamelessly link my own build for you to review for ideas. It's just faster than listing a whole bunch of things you may or may not like.

I can say though from experience that double strike effects like griffstick mentioned are amazing here. Sure your hand might get bulky time to time, but at least you'll always be on top of board wipes. Also it adds an additional win condition via commander damage without going full voltron. Like I said, check mine out for ideas if you'd like. It's basically my list of suggestions ;). Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I see you can make infinite green mana, so why not capitalize on that?. You could do this alternatively by adding Simic Growth Chamber (Voyaging Satyr target). Genesis Wave your deck to the field, add Laboratory Maniac as an alternate win con maybe as you can potentially do the the same with the Hydroid?. Tap everything on board with Icy Blast and/or Gridlock . Nimbus Swimmer for a giant flying sea monster. Walking Ballista to take out everyone/thing.

And if you're not into infinite things then perhaps you'd like Shaman of Forgotten Ways . A bit of creature ramp and a secondary ability that gets overlooked/forgotten alot that can net you a win, esp. against heavy lifegain decks. Well, hope this helps for your first cycle advice ;).

Intuition is way outside the "price I'm willing to pay on single pieces of colorful cardboard" zone, otherwise I would have also included Amulet of Vigor . Scapeshift's place is based on a case of 'hit and miss'. In a different similar version it was; draw shift, have mostly gates and 1-2 others, then it's a decision of 'do I want to spend 4 to find Maze?'. Then there was the 'do I want lose a turn to casting it and have no answers because of all my tapped lands?', or holding it for so long it feels dead in hand. They are both good suggestions though and as such I will add them. I am still considering scapeshift in this build but it is a hard decision, especially on what to take out for it.

Noyan has been on my to do list, and this takes the cake. Great list, +1.

Would Isochron Scepter fit here? I see alot of 2 cmc instants and you mention one of them is practically a lynch pin, so why not cast it... 'on a schtick' ;).

Viscera Seer : if perhaps you include a recursion/token package.

Darksteel Pendant : Indestructible is handy.

Shadows of the Past : mana sink, scry each death.

Bontu the Glorified : again, requires things to sac, and a mana sink.

Catacomb Sifter : death triggers.

Crystal Ball : digs 2 deep.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary : still works for casting as it doesn't say 'from hand'.

Reaper of the Wilds : returns attacks via deathtouch, and on death scry triggers.

Nissa's Revelation : could be fun depending on how many critters you have in it.

Price of Fame : Cheap commander removal.

Doom Whisperer : Flample, pay to see cards.

Explorer's Scope : ramp, and land off the top. Combined with other things you can plan around it.

Mirri's Guile : rearranges top 3. Might be outside your budget though.

Sensei's Divining Top : Guile in artifact form, again pricey.

Cream of the Crop : could be interesting, creature dependant.

Grim Flayer : not sure if good, you'll have to decide.

Scroll Rack : another pricey card but it sets things up.

Gilt-Leaf Seer : rearrange top 2.

Vizier of the Menagerie : Pretty handy if you've got a fair bit of critters.

Galvanoth : While not top manipulation, it can be pretty spicy with other top deck stuff.

Riddle of Lightning : depending on how high your curve goes it could work.

With all the sea monsters have you considered Whelming Wave ? If you Ramp hard enough or cheat it out somehow (pretty sure you can still pay kickers on a free cast, don't quote me though) Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep works as a second Wave. Hope that helps some, +1 for ya, looks fun!

Well this is tricky, I think DrukenReaps is on the right track though. So building on that we can establish we want RG for sure for Mina, Wayward Swordtooth , maybe Crucible of Worlds and Ramunap Excavator if you include a discard theme. I know, I know... "but discard is black?" you say. And so are a plethora of tutors so you can find your Experiment and employ it.

So we're on a "lands matter" track, should it also be top deck matters? That's mostly blue but there are alot of artifacts that fill the spot to scry, surveil, or otherwise rearrange the top cards like Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top . So lands matter, Jund, so... Lord Windgrace maybe?

Seeing as you don't want cards in your hand maybe Hellbent cards like Ragamuffyn , Nihilistic Glee , and Gibbering Descent could work as well.

Well, I got nothing else atm, so hopefully this helps.

Divine Reckoning is amazing for Isperia, I will have to include it in my own so thanks for that. :)

Speaking of my own, Isperia's Flying Circus of Tools if you'd like to have a look for ideas. I've tried to make suggestions but I'm not quite sure where you're going... I don't see a lot of cards that gain you information to use Isperia reliably.

I see in the comments that Telepathy paints a target, and at times I agree it can. However if you hold onto it until you're in a position to use it; it works better. Sometime having cards that allow you to 'Look at' rather than 'Reveal' a hand can be better as it doesn't give away secrets to the other opponents. You can find these cards in my build I linked rather than me posting a big list.

To end it looks decent with the creature effects you have, so +1 from me. I hope you find some ideas from my share and if you have any ?'s let me know. Happy Tapping!

Great deck, and love the effort thats gone into it including a budget version so +1 from me. It looks fun for sure, have you considered Emergency Powers from the newest set? Could be a neat bit of tech.

I feel like Hellkite Tyrant belongs in here as both a wincon and additional artifacts to sacrifice to atogs. Or players scoops when you have lattice out.

shadow63: I was not thinking of having all the races get in on this, just that this particular mix of human and elf is a part of most fantasy worlds in some small way. Story-wise it could be on any world with humans and elves, new or old... just introduce a new character that ties into the world/current plot.

February 3, 2019 10:17 p.m.

How budget is this meant to be? I'm thinking though, ditch black, splash green, focus on white. More ramp, and life gain maybe in the form of a soul sisters package?

Being a fan of the fantasy genre I have read many series, played many rpg's and there is one 'some may say' controversial race missing from this game. So I must ask... why are there no Half-Elves in this game?

Half-Elves are usually key characters in the stories they are involved in, as they are few and far between. Mostly because relationships between races is considered taboo, and in 99.9% of cases it's a result of an elven maiden having been abused via raiding/mercenary party. Whatever the case may be, they gain notice, usually negative until they attain hero status somehow (or the rare case of infamy). Considering almost every Plane has some version of humans and elves how has there never been a Half-Elven character printed? With the release of the latest set you can't use the "too many creature types" excuse... Case in point: Elf Lizard Wizard. You could have a Human Elf Warrior/Wizard/Rogue... possibly a Legendary even.

Has anyone else noticed this, or have anything to add regarding their absence?
