Will a creature equipped with Silverskin Armor stay an artifact in the graveyard?

I have an Artifact + Black deck with Silverskin Armor, Skeleton Shard, and two Myr Retriever. If I were to attach Silverskin Armor to Disciple of the Vault and it goes to the graveyard, can I use Myr Retriever or Skeleton Shard to bring Disciple of the Vault back from the graveyard to my hand?

When an equipped creature dies, the equipment remains on the battlefield. Silverskin Armor's ability only applies while it's equipped to something. When the equipped creature leaves the field, it won't be an artifact anymore unless it's an artifact naturally.

Thank you everyone. That helps answer my question. I knew that Silverskin Armor stayed on the battlefield after the creature dies, but I didn't know if the creature stayed an artifact.
I'm an experienced player, but have never been to tournaments. But we all get stuck at some point. Thanks again! :-)

No. Silverskin Armor only adds the Artifact type to a permanent, not to a card in another zone.
