Some card legalities clarify please?

According to this list from Wizards' archive, Dark Ritual , Fact or Fiction , Ponder , and even Sol Ring are listed as banned, but I'm pretty sure at least Sol Ring is definitely not since I see it in every EDH deck. The article is dated 2009, so it's clearly outdated.
Could someone please clarify, as I'm just starting out building EDH decks?
The article was specifically in reference to announcing 'From The Vault: Exiled' which was a special limited product containing only cards that had been banned at some point in Magic' history, so to make people wonder what was going to be in it, they published a list of every card which had ever been banned in any format. Very few of those cards are still banned anywhere.

Well, I'm building a Thraximundar deck, so as long as I can use my above-mentioned cards, which don't appear on mtgcommander.net (thanks Gidgetimer), I'm good.

That article is about every card that has ever been banned in any format I am assuming. The official EDH ban list can be found at mtgcommander.net. The banlist for any given format can be found here. They have EDH on there but that isn't the official place since EDH is a player curated format and official rulings come from the rules committee not from Wizards.
