May I tap a land mana for no reason just to use an effect to un-tap it within the same phase to tap it again giving me double use of that land?

Hope Tender is out on the field without summoning sickness, and I have three untapped lands two are enchanted with Gift of Paradise. Within my main phase can I tap the two enchanted lands giving me 4 suspended mana in my pool ''for no reason'' just to tap my last land and exert tap Hope Tender un-tapping my two enchanted lands and then tapping again to bring me to 8 suspended mana in my pool to use before ending the phase?
To provide an example of this, the card Doubling Cube will double all of the mana you currently have floating. So if you had the 8 from before and paid 3 of it for the Cube's ability, you'd end up with 10 total

Yes, that's fine. Mana-producing abilities can be used at any time, not just when you're in the process of paying a cost. There are many important interactions in the game that depend on a player being able to "float" mana in order to make them work properly.
