Flayer of the hatebound questions
Asked by MyKeyWhy 8 years ago
If two flayers of the hatebound die at the same time with no +1 +1 counters and they enter the battlefield from the graveyard and receive their +1 +1 counters do they deal 20 damage or 15? Does he work with nim deathmantle and if So does he do 6 or 4 dmg.

In the future, please remember to link all cards in your question.
Flayer of the Hatebound, Nim Deathmantle
When the two Flayers die, both undying triggers occur. But they resolve one at a time. When the first resolves, Flayer 1 will return to play with a +1/+1 counter, dealing 5 damage. Then the second undying trigger will resolve, bringing Flayer 2 back to play with a +1/+1 counter. Both Flayers 1 and 2 will then each deal 5 damage to something, totaling 15 damage.
Nim Deathmantle will bring the Flayer back and immediately give it a static +2/+2. (Note that whichever Flayer you do this to will not get the undying +1/+1 counter). And whichever Flayer you do this to, perhaps both if you have the mana, will deal 6 damage due to it having 6 power.

Please link all cards in your question, like so
[[Flayer Of The Hatebound]]
Flayer of the Hatebound, Nim Deathmantle
Let's assume they were both killed by a Languish. They die at the same time, then both Undying Triggers go on the stack. The first Flayer will return and deal 5 damage from it's other triggered ability, then the second Flayer will return and both will trigger for 5 each, or 15 total damage.
Also, with Nim Deathmantle, if you choose the Flayer to return from the Nim's ability rather than it's own (assuming it had no counters) then it will return as a 6/6 with no counters and deal 6 damage from the ability.

Fog would do nothing in this scenario, as Fog only prevents combat damage. This is regular damage.

15 damage, five from the first flayer to enter and 5 from each flayer trigger when the second one enters.
6 damage, it checks his power when the ability resolves.
