CMC of Flip and Meld cards?

Asked by IzzetMtG 7 years ago

If an opponent has a flip card such as Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip or any other flip card that is transformed, what is its converted mana cost? Still 2? Or zero? Also, do meld cards like Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light have a CMC equal to the total CMC of the two individual cards? Or are they all CMC=0?

The converted mana cost of a melded permanent is the sum of the converted mana costs of its front faces. A creature that becomes a copy of a melded permanent has only the characteristics of that combined back face, and its converted mana cost is 0.

The same is true for a transformed permanent, just without the summing and whatnot.

So Brisela's CMC is 11? And Lambholt Butcher  Flip's is 2?
