Bonuses for Bronzebeak Moa
Asked by stylax32 9 years ago
Bronzebeak Moa is on the battlefield. I play two copies of Elvish Mystic on my next turn.Do I get +3/+3 to the end of turn for each copy that comes into play ? Thanks
Thanks FancyTuesday ! It makes Bronzebeak Moa look it might be a decent creature to include in my Selesnya token deck...

Yes. Populate triggers ETB abilities. Anything that says "put" a creature on or "return" a creature to the battlefield means that creature will be entering the battlefield and trigger anything that says "whenever a creature enters the battlefield."
Unless of course the ability specifies otherwise. Bronzebeak Moa specifies that it has to be "another" creature so that it does not trigger itself, whereas Harmonic Sliver does trigger off itself entering the battlefield. There's also cards like Soul of the Harvest which specify that they will not trigger for token creatures.

Thanks FancyTuesday.Being a new player it's becoming more apparent that I need to start reading the comprehensive rules a bit.

Here's a short list of some good places to start in the Comprehensive rules (use "Ctrl+F" and the section number to find them):
101.The Magic Golden Rules
601.Casting Spells
603.Handling Triggered Abilities
704.State-Based Actions

Yes. Bronzebeak Moa triggers for each creature that enters the battlefield under your control and two creatures have entered the battlefield, it does not specify anything about the creatures needing unique names or only triggering once per turn.
