Artist Search

TappedOut forum

I have been building a couple of decks inspired by Cobthecobbler's artist deck Raymond Swanland cards OP. However, I'm kinda bummed that tappedout doesn't have a feature that let's you search for cards by artist's names. Now I get it, artist searches aren't the most necessary because not a lot of people notice the artist's name when playing. But for casual players and artistic people alike, I believe this feature would allow people to see the evolution of the artist's renditions throughout the years.

For now though, I have to go to the Gatherer/similar site(s) and switch back and forth if I want make artist based decks. I understand there are hundreds of artists and it would take a lot of time and effort just to implement this feature, but I think it would be cool to see. And it might also inspire people to create there own art of the magic universe. Heck, they may even be the next artist for WotC.

Does anyone else share my thoughts? Who are some of your favorite mtg artists? What cards do you think are OP based on the artist(s)? Would you like to be an artist for WotC? Let me know in the comments below.

Search by Artist = Done

Rebecca Guay Path to Exile and Terese Nielsen Force of Will are my two favorite artists.

I know about the searches from other sources. What I'm saying is I would like tappedout to be an all-in-one experience. Discussions, deck building, trading, community, and yes, even card searches. I love T/O for these reasons. I just would like this to be included where so much else has been implemented.

I personally believe that Mark Zug has some of the best artwork for some of the best cards (especially for modern). Batterskull, Lotus Bloom, Noble Hierarch, the list just goes on and on.

It would be a nice feature but it seems like extra work for something that is completed elsewhere. Why re-invent the wheel? I wouldn't mind having it though.
