Constellation Still Viable in Standard?

So I'm considering running constellation at my local FNM. I'm not gonna try to win a pro tour or anything so I'm okay with it being only kinda good. But I think I can pull off a decent amount of wins with it. With Back to Nature printed it won't see much play so the cards are cheaper, and with it not seeing much play few people are gonna run Back to Nature anyways. How well, if at all, does the community think this will work?

If you do beat people with it, then they're just going to sideboard in Back to Nature . But I'm not sure as to how well it'll work.

HavokX, But if there's only one guy playing it will it be worth a slot in the sideboard? Anyways it won't be a HUGE presence in the deck like it used to be. Thanks for the thoughts anyways :)

It's lost some good pieces such as Mana Bloom that could trigger Doomwake Giant over and over in the same turn and stuff like that. It's ok but like running exalted in M13 it's just not the best deck, it can win if it's built well and you get lucky but it's not a T1 or even T2 deck meaning it's not 1 of the top 8 decks showing results in big tournaments like opens or states or big tcg events or even Super IQ or MTGO daily events with any consistency.

Jeskai aggro is beginning to implement Hushwing Gryff which really shuts down the constellation mechanic entirely. Considering Abzan is part white it could easily adopt them into the sideboard at the least as well.

So no, I don't think constellation variants are good against the top 2 performing decks since KTK became standard, ergo the meta. It might be ok against other less represented archetypes, but if you plan on winning the final few matches of an event, let alone the top 8, I don't think constellation is the deck to bring it home.

I think constellation is perfectly viable and the better choice for an Abzan midrange deck than the established one. You have a lot more card selection and a lot more raw card draw than the normal Abzan Midrange deck.

Card advantage is the way to beat midrange decks and constellation certainly provides it. Jeskai aggro is currently the only problem for the deck, but it is a winnable match with the right sideboard.

Junkstellation - Gameday ed. is the right call for any meta me thinks (not biased in any way).

I believe if you run constellation, you should run junk. With that being said, I'd run 2 or 3 Stain the Mind on the sideboard so if they do run a Hushwinf Gryff or Back to Nature, you can easilh get rid of it
