Very interesting read. After reading this, I can defiitely see Liliana and Yaheeni getting along. If Yaheeni survives that long and basically goes rogue with Lili, well, that could make for some interesting story.

Hooray! A story not directly revolving around the actions of the jacetice league!

Wow, I forgot the Gatewatch storyline even existed. I guess that's what happens when I play Pokemon Sun & Moon and get my head in the clouds over...ok, I'll shut up and spare everyone of the spoilers.

I get the feeling Yahenni's going to get a card. Her expertise was already leaked as a Game Day Promo, and she's looking to be a central character in the story.

I know they'd never do it, but if ever wizards wanted to make fading/echo a thing again, the aetherborn would be the race to do it with.

I definitely liked how this story was told from Yahenni's perspective, and they are clearly becoming a major character in the sotry of Kaladesh. I very much liked the emotional drama of Yahenni's draining the life from other beings, and their sense of dread at their approaching death. I predict that Yahenni shall make a brave sacrifice to help the others overthrow the Consulate after having lived a full and wonderful life.

Given that aetherborn usually have very short lives, and that Gonti has a position of great influence and authority in Ghirapur, they clearly have found some way to extend their lifespan, and I wonder if that plot point shall be revisited in the future.
