Death's Shadow in Legacy??

Legacy Deck Help forum

I had the thought a couple months ago that Death's Shadow might be playable in Legacy if you play the Modern version almost card-for-card. I don't have the money for any copies of Badlands or Bayou, and I figure the deck would play the same lands anyway. Could possibly be an easy way to transition from modern. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Experience? Suggestions on cards to play, like Berserk?

I would imagine you would still want the shocklands, as losing life is part of the strategy. But Berserk seems sweet. Also Git-probe works with Force of Will. ;)

Not sure what colors you'd go but this seems like a sweet idea. git probe would be back so you could FOW. The problem is, miracles, storm, stax, infect and most control variants can just outplay the shadow. Burn could probably just wait and burn you out. This would be nowhere near the meta IMO but seems good as a casual/semi-compeditive legacy deck. Adding infect enablers seems better though.

Similar to legacy splinter twin deck, I would say that this sort of build would just be something you bring to your weekly legacy 8 man as something fun and as a change of pace. It can win games certainly, but I wouldn't say that this sort of thing has any chance of real success at the professional level.
