Am I the only one who thinks there could be a jump in price on this card. Ok it's a control card and control got hosed, but control could get help in the next set and it would destroy an opponent in a control vs control match.

I think it was DESIGNED for a control v control matchup .... 7 mana gives you ONE 6/7 body on the field, also has prowess ... no trample, no flying, no evasion, you're pretty much relying on your opponent not to have dudes to chump with.

The best wincons for control decks contain ways to avoid killspells. Whilst this card does too, the cost is extremely high, taking you from 7 to 4 lands. This therefore means that you can't recast it for another 3 turns - which is just extreme inefficiency.

In the current meta, I don't see it doing well. I can see it as a sideboard card for some control decks but that doesn't worry any major price increase.

*that doesn't warrant any major price increase.

There isn't really going to be much that would add to the price of PLA at the moment, unless the next expansion breaks it somehow.

I don't see it either. It's at best a 2-of, and if a better win condition comes along, it'll be dropped. PLA just seems like the best of bad options for control right now.

This card to me kind of seems like a hint at Landfall making a return. Probably in "Louie". If that's the case...it probably still won't jump terribly high unless they bring back something like Hedron Crab and everyone switches to landfall mill. Haha

Does that mean you agree with me Femme_Fatale? Or are you just taking the opportunity to shamelessly interject one of your cards into the conversation? :p

It depends on whether or not WotC reprints the enemy fetches in KTK. If they do, then return to zendikar would happen later, as the fetches in KTK would be ... loss of wording here ... conflicting with the fetch+landfall potential that is signature to Zendikar.

They could have an unlandfall, in which you get bonuses for returning lands to your hand, or having less on the field ... but that reminds me too much of some obscure Kamigawa thingo ...

I actually used the moonfolk's land returning abilities from Kamigawa to fuel my landfall plays in my early casual days. I also used Living Tsunami and Walking Atlas .

In the current meta the price isn't going up, but there are a number of cards that if reprinted or replaced in the next set could give control the edge
