Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind or Niv-Mizzet, Parun?

In both my red/white/blue and red/black/blue EDH decks, I have Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind , but I am contemplating replacing him with Niv-Mizzet, Parun , since the latter card is superior in virtually every way, but the only reason for which I have not yet done so is because of the latter card's very heavy color weight, so I am seeking advice from the other members of this forum on this subject.

Three mana of each of two colors may be extreme for a three-colored deck, but each of those decks has plenty of three-colored cards, and I specifically gave those decks mana bases that can support cards with color-heavy casting costs, so I really see no reason to not make that replacement.

What does everyone else say on this subject? Should I replace Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind with Niv-Mizzet, Parun ?

If you have the mana fixing Niv-Mizzet, Parun all the way

parun all the way,

however, i recommend powerful mana fixing, like instead of talismans use signets, and filter lands. (cascade bluffs.)

chromatic lantern yes. as many dual lands and fetches you can handle, but if you lack the cards, focus more on filter mana fixing

I suggest you consult with The Math Wizard. Some call him Frank Karsten.
