Need Help With Maralen Deck

I'm just now getting back into mtg after a four year break. I met a new play group at the college, but their top player says based on the level the rest of them are on I should use what I consider a casual deck rather than just jumping in with Memnarch. So I'm running a Maralen of the Mornsong deck that combos her with Teferi's Puzzle Box, utilizing Liliana of the Dark Realms for steady lands; then it dives into some Painful Quandary, Ob Nixilis, Unshackled, and Exsanguinate. I know Maralen is tricky to run with because everybody tutors for removal the first chance they get. Any advise on how I could further optimize the deck and make her a more competitive general is greatly appreciated. Give it a +1 if you think it's good to go.
