Fblthp is Working Wonders! —May 25, 2019

Update. Deck has been working great!! The Jace Wielder and Tunnel Vision combo is doing work. Wanted to add some other game changers or possible win cons just for fun. Animatou's Augury is disgusting with Proteus Staff. I think Octopus Umbra is hilarious and works well with Commence the Endgame. Diviner's wand provides the chance for Fblthp himself to finish a game if the combo is done correctly hitting for that saucy commander damage. Enter the Infinite is an obvious add if you really want to enforce the Jace combo. Every combo runs off Proteus staff being able to rearrange things and so wanted to add sleep to give us more time to get things going. It can also lead to the killing blow when needed. Overall having a lot of fun with this deck and wanted to try to add other win conditions simply for the challenge. Let me know if you have any other ideas or possible combos!

Edited: Removed, Capsize, Mystic Confluence, Peel from Reality, and Spelltwine. Added, Animatou's Augury, Diviner's Wand, Octopus Umbra, and Sleep

Can you explain the Jace-Tunnel combo please?

Also, I didn't realize that the song 'Time After Time' was reverberating in my head until I came back here a second time and saw the deck title.

Haha it's a classic!

Sorry totally had the wrong Jace as the Win Con Combo!! Thanks for pointing that out! That's actually huge. So the combo is Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Tunnel Vision. There's a few ways of picking what goes on the bottom of your library and then with Jace Mysteries' +1 ability game is over you win.

Hey, the deck looks fun but I don't understand the Goblin Charbelcher + Proteus Staff combo, or how the commander factors in on the deck ?

Naksu, when you Proteus the Commander Fblthp, you place him on the bottom of your library, and then reveal cards from the top until you find a creature.

Because this is a creatureless deck, you dig through your whole library to find Fblthp at the bottom. Then two things happen. One, you put the rest of the cards (your whole library) back in any order, and two, you draw two cards.

Being able to arrange one's entire library is quite advantageous with the Charbelcher, because it digs for a land and does damage equal to how far it dug. :)

Long_Con, I do get that, but your commander never goes to your library no matter what. It just moves to the command zone.. I would get it, if your only creature in the 99 was Laboratory Maniac .

Edit. Holy hell, I had to go check now that I started questioning myself, but yeah the rule states that you MAY.. Somewhat embarrassed, sorry.

Naksu lol, hey thanks for checking!! You had me questioning my entire existence for a second.
