UPGRADES —May 20, 2019

Note, I have taken out the Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith as it doesnt improve existing combos, while it DOES create Infinite mana, there are a few issues:

  1. if it is disrupted, it is hard to recover from as this Combo holds not a single synergy with any other combos such as flickering or infinite etb.
  2. It only creates Colorless mana, so if I misplay I don't have the colors I need to Cast a spell.
  3. rings of brighthearth kinda is an expensive card and id rather use it in a deck that uses it with more synergy.
  4. while YES i have a few transmute cards and tutors that i could use to get these, there are plenty of things that could prevent this combo from going off. and in those situations, its harder to get mana from this by flickering one of the pieces.

Basically I wanted more utility and ease of access if and when a combo gets delayed or disrupted. and Giant Whale and Pristine Talisman help me out. Giant Whale has synergy with Eldrazi Displacer, Felidar Guardian, Aminatou, Dead-eye Navigator. Pristine Talisman helps in small ways such as minor life gain and mana. I do understand this puts my Average CMC a bit higher due to Giant Whale but I believe this deck will benefit from these changes. Mainly I want to survive the 3 man pod tournaments that my friend is going to be holding in the future.
