This is a Black Midrange deck, Standard as of The Brother's War (2022).

Built for Standard Ladder (BO1) for MTG Arena.

The main premise is to try to land creatures or kill spell on-curve, letting Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Liliana of the Veil and Sorin the Mirthless establish control until you can hit Corrupt. Phyrexian Fleshgorger is impactful enough to drop turn three if the Graveyard Trespasser   and Toxrill, the Corrosive can rattle the game if it sticks around. A well-timed Invoke Despair or Gix's Command can throw a wrench into the plans of your opponents and give you space to breathe if you need it.

The key to this deck is to not be afraid to pour it on with your smaller Creatures if the opportunity presents itself as you're setting up your ending sequence. A powered up Evolved Sleeper or Misery's Shadow can be just as powerful as your Sheoldred, the Apocalypse or a flipped Graveyard Trespasser   and adding a +1/+1 and drawing a card off of Evolved Sleeper feels awesome in reaction to blocking creatures. Don't be afraid to cast Tenacious Underdog for the Blitz Cost. That 2 Life is fairly easy to make up AND its ability to draw cards is excellent Also, don't be afraid to really let those Destroy spells fly early.
